We are pleased to invite you to attend the 2023 OPA! National Conference at the Grey Eagle Hotel & Casino in Calgary, AB. Continuing the amazing work behind “The Power of Good Food", we’re excited to explore further what OPA! really means.

It’s been 4 years since we’ve all been together for this engaging event. We are so thrilled to spend a few days sharing, connecting and learning from one another once again. It’s especially exciting since this year’s National Conference coincides with OPA’s 25th Anniversary!

That’s right—we’ll be celebrating 25 years of OPA! together as a family. As you know, the Mediterranean culture emphasizes enjoying time with family and friends all while nourishing body and mind. We intend to bring that feeling into our next 25 years, starting by enjoying the festivities with you at the National Conference.

Gord is a familiar face in Calgary thanks to a 38-year career in television and radio. He was a news anchor at Global Television for 25 years before moving to host The Morning News on 770 CHQR talk radio in 2017. He retired in 2019.

Gord thrived as a broadcaster in election coverage and breaking news stories. He has worked in a number of newsrooms across the country including CBC, CTV and Global. Gord has interviewed more than a thousand people including 7 Canadian Prime Ministers.

A supporter of many charitable initiatives, it is Gord’s great honour to have been MC for hundreds of charity events across the province. In 2017, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his career in broadcasting and service in the community.
